Dear Star Class District 2 Sailors,
Our recent event, the Annapolis Spring at SSA was cancelled, not due to lack of enthusiasm, but with water temperatures in the mid 40’s and winds of 20-30 mph, we decided to wait this one out. The attending skippers were Keith Donald, Matt Pickering, Elliott Oldak and Steve Kling from SSA and Tom Price from Gibson Island. Thanks to all for coming out. We will try again next year in warmer conditions.

We have two important events coming up. On-line registration is open for both of them and I encourage everyone to sign up early and show your support.
The first one is the Miles River Spring Invitation in St. Michaels on May 4-5. The following link to the NOR gives details regarding on-line registration and housing.

I have sent out invitations to D1 and D12 members and have reminded them that the Lippincott Memorial has been replaced by our Blue Star District Championship this year, so our premier spring regatta for District 1 and 12 is the Miles River event. I hope to have a strong showing from outside our district for this event.
The second event is the International Star Class District 2 Championship held at Annapolis Yacht Club on May 18-19. Please view the following link.

My goal is twenty boats for this one. I have asked that the trophies go to the first five places for skipper and crew.
